The Stained Glass Association of America was founded in 1903 to promote architectural stained glass in America. This 100+ year-old trade organization, functions as a publicly recognized organization that offers guidelines, instruction and training to craftspersons, assuring survival of the craft.
The SGAA also views its role as defending and protecting the craft against regulations that might restrict its freedom as an architectural art form.
MISSION STATEMENT: The Stained Glass Association of America is a non-profit association that strives to foster excellence, growth and education in the field of stained and decorative art glass. We pledge to maintain the highest possible standards for excellence, integrity and business practices. (reference: SGAA Sourcebook 2008, Raytown, MO: Stained Glass Association of America.
